The concept followed customer’s wish to create an urban working place in the city center. A place with good, fresh food and desserts. Since Plato is situated within an extremely geometrical and axial architecture, we chose a motive of a tendril to be the dominant visual element of the ambient. Its organic shape embodies both contextual and graphic base of the project.
It addresses the guests at the entrance and, in form of a staircase fence, leads them from the ground to the first floor. There it transforms into the ceiling which turned out to be an excellent holding structure for wiring required for lighting. The ground floor is opened outwards through a glass membrane while upstairs, numerous views of the city open across the terrace.
