In the Gredič project, we exceptionally had a chance to influence architectural design through excellent cooperation with the project’s main architect Rok Klanjšček. The interior has been designed to be modern but at the same time resemble a castle. That shouldn’t mean that it would be heavy and dark, but mysterious and poetic. We have used locally sourced wood and stone and took care of maintaining a balance between the outside and the inside. With light or absence of it we interfered with all the places – from the basement to the attic. We have softened these places in a way that gives room to new stories and experiences in an old castle setting. We have decorated the rooms with simplicity but with a hint of “castleness” in a modern rendition.
